The Endurance

If you're as intrigued as I am by this incredible story, there are many more resources available. Searching the county library for "Endurance Shackleton" gives 29 results, including compilation books about similar adventures, books on the expedition, audio books including the aired version, a movie, and a four episode TV show.
 
Of note are two books which are about the Ross Sea party, which is less often discussed. This concerned the other half of the mission, which was to land in the Ross Sea, and put in supplies for Shackleton's men on their way back from the pole. Nine men from this party died.
 
There is also an IMAX film which is available on Netflix.
